Chocolate Turtle Cake
Ingredients:
1 box Devil’s food cake mix or any chocolate cake mix
½ cup evaporated milk
¾ cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoon milk
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoon corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
14 ounces of caramels, melted
Directions:
Follow the instructions on the cake mix and prepare the cake batter. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and once the oven is hot, stick in half of the cake batter in a mold of your choice. Bake for fifteen minutes. Take a saucepan and melt the caramels, butter and evaporated milk together. Pour this mixture over the semi-baked cake and sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped pecans on top. Now, pour the remaining cake batter on top of it and stick the mold back into the oven for baking for another 20 minutes. Allow to cool completely before serving.
