Fudge Rum Balls

Fudge Rum Balls
Traditionally a holiday treat, but why wait? You can create these rich, flavorful Fudge Rum Balls all year long using Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Fudge Cake Mix.

Ingredients:
  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Classic Butter Recipe Fudge Cake Mix
  • Water, oil and eggs called for on cake mix package
  • 1⅔ cups finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. rum extract
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare and bake cake with water, oil and eggs. Cool cake slightly.
  3. Crumble cake into large bowl. Stir with fork until crumbs are fine and uniform in size. Add 1 cup nuts, rum extract, confectioners' sugar and cocoa. Stir until well blended.
  4. Shape cake crumb mixture into 1-inch balls.
  5. Roll into remaining pecans, pressing firmly to adhere nuts..
  6. Variation: Substitute rum for rum extract.
