Garlic Cheese Ball
Ingredients:
2 tsp butter
2 tbs coarsely chopped garlic
I tsp sugar
One 8 oz cream cheese softened
1/4 cup butter softened
8 oz shredded sharp cheddar
1/4 cup chopped scallions
I tsp salt
Crushed crackers for coating
One bell pepper stem
Directions:
Melt 2 tsp butter in skillet until sizzling. Add garlic and sugar. Cook over med-high heat stirring constantly until garlic starts to brown a bit. Immediately remove from heat. Combine garlic mixture with all tensing ingredients (except for crushed crackers). Beat at medium speed until creamy. Roll mixture into a ball, coat with crackers- I use goldfish crackers) put bell pepper stem on top. Serve with crackers. For Christmas I make it into an ornament and I have even made it into a beach ball for summer!
