We first made this to top slices of pound
cake for a Thanksgiving dessert we were testing a few years ago. It was
such a hit with our whole team that we often make a batch to top other
desserts all year round.
Ingredients:
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and orange peel. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Carefully pour into a blender and process until smooth. Pour into a bowl and stir in liqueur, if desired. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
