  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped white chocolate
  • 1 can Frosting Creations Frosting Starter
  • 1 packet Frosting Creations Mint Chocolate Flavor Mix
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped candied pecans
Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, ¼ cup water and ¼ cup of the bourbon until smooth.
  2. Spread batter evenly on a greased, parchment lined, 9"x13" jelly roll pan.
  3. Sprinkle the top with the chopped white chocolate.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown, let cool.
  5. Mix together the frosting starter, flavor mix and 3 tbsp. of the bourbon. Set aside.
  6. Disolve ¼ cup of sugar in the ¼ cup hot water, stir in the remaining bourbon to bake a bourbon soaking syrup.
  7. Brush all the syrup onto the cooled cake with a pastry brush.
  8. Cut the cake with a 2½" cookie cutter or whatever size fits the mouth of the jar you are using.
  9. Place 1 piece of cake in the bottom of each jar, top with a small about of the bourbon mint frosting and some candied pecans, add another piece of cake and repeat, add a third and final layer.
  10. Garnish with fresh mint and candied pecans.
  11. If you don’t have Frosting Creations available, add 1 tsp. of mint extract and 1-2 drops of green coloring to Classic Vanilla frosting.
