Blackberry Dumplings

Ingredients:

1 cup flour, all purpose or 1/4 cup coconut and 3/4 cup almond flour
1 Tbsp + 1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 stick butter, room temperature, 1/2 cup
¼ cup milk
4 cup blackberries, fresh or frozen
2 cups water

Directions:

Mix together flour, 1 Tbsp sugar, baking powder, salt in bowl. Cut in butter to make a crumble. Add milk to form dough; set aside.

In large skillet bring to boil berries, remaining sugar and water. Drop dumplings into hot boiling berries. Cover skillet, reduce heat, simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Do not raise lid. Do not stir. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Hard to beat this old favorite!
