Extreme Cheese And Meatball Party Ring

Extreme Cheese and Meatball Party Ring

Serve this deliciously fun and cheesy pizza ring and impress all of your guests!

Ingredients:
1       (13-inch loaf) package Pillsbury™ refrigerated crusty French loaf
Flour, for dusting
1/2     cup pizza sauce
1        cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1        cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4      cup pepperoni slices
1         cup frozen meatballs
1         cup fresh spinach
1         cup salsa con queso, warmed
Fresh tomatoes and basil, for garnish
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 375ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Open the French bread dough and place the dough log on a surface sprinkled with flour. Use your palms to roll the log of dough until it’s about 20 inches long. Circle the dough into a ring and pinch the edges together to seal. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the top starts to brown.
  • Let the bread cool to the touch and use a serrated knife to cut slices about 1-inch apart in the bread around the ring, making sure not to cut all the way through the loaf.
  • Stuff a rounded teaspoon of pizza sauce or marinara sauce between each slice. Then, stuff mozzarella and cheddar cheese between each slice, reserving a few tablespoons of cheese. Stuff a few pieces of pepperoni, a meatball and a few spinach leaves between each slice. Lightly sprinkle remaining cheese over loaf.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese begins to brown. Remove from oven and drizzle pizza with warm cheese sauce. Top with tomatoes, basil and more pizza sauce if desired. Enjoy!
